Hello,
I’d like to thank you for attending our shows and really hope that you and those who went with you, enjoyed the experience.
You know we are not a ‘clone’ show. No dressing up, no pretending and no mimicking, rather just singing and playing, and paying homage to many of my friends and peers and wonderful songs, they have recorded. In fact I celebrate the era.
Some of my shows are very different for example the Hillbilly Cat show features songs that were recorded by the young ‘Sun’ records Elvis, whilst the ‘CRY!’ Show is about the great Johnnie Ray and the Roots of Aussie Rock is me paying homage to my friends and peers of the first Aussie RocknRoll. The newer shows ‘Just me and my music’ and ‘1959’ feature many videos and are in fact an event rather than just a singing show.
Some of our past shows include Solid Gold, Good Rockin’ Tonight, This is Lonnie Lee, The Best of Lonnie Lee, Hits ‘n’ Memories and 60 Years ‘n’ Still Rockin’ and ‘Last man standing’ feature many of my own hits from yesterday and today, as well as tributes to my friends and fellow stars. Each of those shows feature different songs.
We hope you and your fiends can make it to more of the shows so that you can once again take a memorable and nostalgic journey back to a more peaceful and gentle time.
I also thank you for the CDs, DVDs, books and other merchandise you may have bought from Starlite Records either at the shows, online or in a store. We try to make them as varied as possible and because many fans have requested, most of my shows are featured on CD or DVD as a live show, with warts and all, exactly as we did it that night.
The 68 years since my start seems to have gone so fast, doing what I love to do and I can truly thank you for giving me all the support you have.
I am so aware there is much better entertainment available for you to see and hear, so I am humbled by choosing what we do.
It is all done with love. Love of singing, love of the songs, love of you the audience who want to watch and listen.
This is why I end all of my shows with a ‘Meet and Greet’ which sometimes goes way over an hour, after my spending over hours on stage. I want to hear your stories and I want to personally say thanks.
So to end, next time your at a show come up and say ‘Hi’ and get a photo after it and if you decide to buy a CD or DVD, let me sign it for you. Also let me know if you and your friends enjoyed the show and what your favourite songs are.
With love and gratitude..
Lonnie
